During WW2 in the vast land of south west Wales, a small engineering factory manned by the top mechanics in Britain, hidden away from the violence and destruction of war, was busily constructing flying machines to distribute to the British forces to defend their country.
With the machines in great demand and the enemy on their tails, keeping this provider from harms way was becoming more of a challenge as each day passed. For many intense back-breaking years the Factory was untouched by enemies weapons, until by sheer luck a German air craft lost from their platoon came across some unusual goings on and before anyone had time to evacuate a bomb was dropped and everything was lostAs the years progressed and the great clean-up was in act, on the ground where the factory lay were thousands of nuts, bolts and vast amounts of broken machinery. As there was no longer any use for the rusty metal extracts, they were taken further west again, discarded on what was a the time baron waste land and left for the earth to absorb them into a rusty decay.Surrounding this rusty grave yard wild cattle send sheep grazed, over the years the land became fresh fertile. This influenced a farmer to build a home and buildings to create his own farm, nurture the livestock and begin a small business. The farm flourished. His crops were popular to many of the locals and further a field. As the years passed on and the Farm was in full bloom the farmer had some time to spare and decided to venture over to the waste land to see whether it was worth cleaning up to move livestock on to graze. The work was harder than he anticipated, in order to move the rusty metal it would entail using larger machinery. Using the classic JCB, he began to dig up the earth, whilst clearing the waste down layer flat in the depth of the hole was a skeleton still in one peace covered with decayed material. The police were informed but this was out of their hands this skeleton was over 2000 years old. Through intense researching and examining the skeleton was discover to be the body of an ancient druid from the Preselli Mountains. buried in a tomb he was surrounded by what was to be discovered as segments from the rocks used to build stone henge. Why this Druid was buried here has not yet been discovered, one thing is known that he worshiped the graet stones that now stand on the great plains in Southern England. But since that day when the ruins of the machine factory were disposed of on this sacred ground I believe that those small nuts and bolts became sacred to.I now live on Winterton Farm and have discovered another use for those nuts and bolts, I have created the Winterton Warriors sacred to the Welsh Soils and greatly connected to one of the Seventh Wonders of the World. All themes and images copyright 2006. all rights reserved.
