About Me

I'm truly bad at writing about myself. I think it's an art - judging on how articulate some people come across. I think I've got a very good understanding of who I am and how I 'work' with myself and others despite my age, yet find it hard to get that across through text but here goes: Work/Education life: I went to primary and secondary school with out getting kicked out :o) As well as this I managed to remain sane through out my teenage years! I had a three year wonderful experience studying fine art at central saint martins, met some lovely people and some interesting ones :o) I luv working my way around chatting to all kinds of folk, and I spent the first year there doing this (on the rare occasions I came in). It wasn't until my second and third year I got my head stuck into some heavier ideas of sculpture and photography. Meanwhile I'd fly off to the odd tropical location but I'll get in all of that in "Play Time". After finishing ye ol art school I was offered a nice 20k job (how could a poor ex-art student resist?) doing easy paper work and answering the phone in a 12-man company in Holborn. What was meant to be a short term job turned into a 17 month thing... as I kinda gave up on making art (why: I'm still finding out) and got to like the pay packet pop up in my bank account each month. I learnt how to deal with difficult people in this job (now I'm a pro!). The only thing that kept me sane in the job (as there were months without having any clients/work to do - sounds good but has it's difficulties) was the mega trip I was secretly planning which would involve me handing in my notice and travelling the world ;o) Play Time: I love my holidays and planned a big one. I was to travel alone and meet up with a few friends and unknown family members on the way. 4 months of: Libya, Singapore, Jakarta, Phuket, Hong Kong, Sydney, Australia's East Coast + Outback, Melbourne, all of New Zealand, mainland Fiji, Sydney again :o), Bangkok and finally New Delhi. I did it all on First Class flights by taking advantage of many air miles promotions a yr or two before the trip. I luv a bit of ruff and lux! Best parts of the trip, the flights, my OZ tour group, the Outback, Fox Glacier, Fiji's waterfalls & tubing and Sydney. A few months after getting back mum and me flew off to Mauritius which was in the works for a while (again airmiles took us there). Currently: Work wise: I'm working for Burberry and I'm absolutely loving it! The amount of feedback I'm receiving is feeding me in ways I haven't been fed before. I feel valued and excited for the opportunities that lay just ahead. As my work uniform allowance isn't amazing I'll be heading to Bangkok to get some suits made soon... and Sydney is calling my name so I've booked my flights back there for early next year. Apart from that everything's open and undecided. Friends: Luv them,.. Kaman's the best though
