SECOND ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED IN 2008............................. Afro universal Hip Hop and a Mo(re) Basic lifestyle, that's what 'Mobassik' represents. This urban BelgoAfrican/cultural Hip Hop group started as an idea from two brothers with different backgrounds: the Tanzanian/ Belgian MC/ Producer extraordinaire Binara (who formerly worked with X-Plastaz) and the veteran MC/DJ Sibo (formerly JeM'enFish DJ). Their music connects with different cultures, languages and styles. Singing, Raping, chanting in English, Français, Nederlands, Kiswahili and Lingala - 100% Belglobizationized. Today Mobassik includes Sly, Sonya Eyama as well as a band (for live gigs) with a back vocalist, guitarist, bassist, drummer, pianist and a saxophonist. Their roots are based worldwide.Their unique style of rhyming and writing may just be a new chapter in the guidebook for Hip Hop/ World music redemption with their conscious approach and clear, uncensored lyrics. Non-speakers of the languages can still appreciate the Mobassik's syllable play. Singing, rhyming and chanting in different languages and mixing African vibes with Jazz and Hip Hop grooves - three totally different styles in different languages (the multicultural Brussels). Their low grinds and up tempo beats are ventilating a hopeful and positive attitude which has certainly been tested over the years. Since day one, Mobassik has always been collaborating with 72soul (the guy behind Arsenal's hit single "Mr. Doorman") and Roxy (white pearl with a soul voice), all which mixed with Hip Hop, Afro beats, Reggae, Jazz, Drum & Bass and African spirit makes it all good! Mobassik is currently working on the second EP which will be released in 2008. Enjoy.
