Hip-Hop: I'm Built For This

About Me

At the young age of 12, Homage made the significant decision to intertwine his life with the culture of Hip-Hop. When the marriage began, the microphone symbolized the wedding ring. As he relocated from the Bronx, NY., to South Central L.A., with a final stop at Riverside County he continued to improve his mic skills. At first a hobby, he began writing lyrics for endless nights to come. He soon created a reputation at high school as a battle/cipher MC competing with other local MCs. Vision(The other half of Underground Disciples) noticed Homage's raw and complex lyrical style. They linked up and collaborated on various records with word-to-mouth play around high school. Just recently did Homage and Vision once again get together to start up what is now known as Underground Disciples. With a fresh start, Underground Disciples will soon be known in the local hip-hop circuit as they compose rugged and vivid lyricism with realistic concepts that the everyday person could relate to. Peep the official album coming out very soon!

Band Members: Homage: 100% Grime. Style, Delivery, amd Conceptual Thought like none other. Era of 94'-95' minded. Addresses issues in hopes to reach the blind. "I don't give a fuck! Yeah I speak on Ghetto living. I speak on gun violence. I speak on drug distribution and use. I speak on teen pregnancy. I speak on the Government's deceitful attempts to hold us down. I speak on a materialistic American society that keeps us knee deep in debt. As long as your self image is perfect right? I speak on the misconception of Hip-Hop. Real lyricists, we could come out of hibernation now. I DO NOT GLORIFY NEGATIVITY. I just thought problems had to be spoken on rather than denied. Maybe I'm wrong."-HomageVision: An Educator. Influences: Musically, I probably got too many influences too list. But I'm gonna do it anyway. From the perspective of raw lyricism I give much credit to Nas, Big Pun, GZA, Cormega, Eminem, Guru of Gangstarr, etc. From the perspective of giving me the ability to storytell my dark childhood life in the projects, credit must go to The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Mobb Deep, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah, Onyx, Nas, Capone N Noreaga, NWA, Ice Cube, etc. My swaggar and lyrical creativity definitely came from artists such as Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Redman, Big Daddy Kane, EPMD, etc. My influences on a music production basis is another story.
