Wounded Kite

About Me

After three ep's in nice coloured vinyl Wounded Kite proudly presents the latest, even more colourful CD 'MySpaceInvaders'!

The CD contains four tracks from both WK's guitarists Koen and Louis, making it a diverse mixture. From the noisy titlesong to the dreamy 'Hold on to what you got', each song on the CD has its own story and gets more expressive with each listening.

The songs of Wounded Kite remind you of Pavement (huh?), Sebadoh or The Velvet Underground and there are the occasional (if not more) sixties influences flying by.

Live, the songs are solidly launched by the driving bass of Joost, subtle drums of Laurie and catchy melodies that Louis and Koen get out of their guitars. Since the appearance of their first ep 'Whole Stringless Green Beans' Wounded Kite remained faithful to their own alternative sound. The band has played at various stages in the country, including Paradiso and Patronaat.
