3 Deuces came about after guitarist/singer Victor decided to start a rockabilly band.After auditioning alot of people he met upright bassist Robin through a musician add. Robin had just retired out of punk rock and had been slappin for about 6 months. With a simple "Come on over have some beers and we'll jam a bit",they started getting together weekly working on Elvis,Carl perkins,Buddy Holly and Buck Owens material while consumiing mad amounts of Bud Light..One weekend the boys went to Keiths house for some of his renowned Bbq's. Not only is Keith a master at backyard bbq's but is also beating the skins in RUNNIN ON FUMES and was with Robin in JUMBOSIZE. The boys got Keith good and hammered and talked him into playing some rockabilly. For the next couple of months they practiced at Keith's weekly Sunday Funday bbq's in front of friends, and before long had a nice mix of original and cover tunes. They are a trio playing traditonal rockabilly and roots style music.They have played everywhere in So Cal and are looking to branch out of the state very soon. With influences ranging from Elvis,Carl Perkins,Buddy Holly,Eddie Cochran and original ranging from songs about barbequing and beer your sure to get your fill of rockin roots music. Make sure to check out Victor as he is now lead guitar in Brian Jay and The Last Call Boys as well. So if you go to a show make sure you say hi to em,buy them some beers and get yourself invited to a Sunday Funday BBQ!!!!
