I am a teacher by profession and a dancer by passion, a biker (I bike to work and almost everywhere else!), a hiker ... I have traveled quite a bit, in Central America, Europe, the Caribbean, etc. Want to travel more!! I love to meet new people! I love music ... especially Jazz and African and Latin-influenced stuff, but really I am interested in whatever music MOVES me!!!I want to change the world ... I'm very concerned about economic inequality in the world, and the systems that are in place that keep some people poor and undereducated and underserved no matter how hard they try, while others get richer every day (benefiting from the labor of the former). I recently got my MA in teaching, and now my project is to focus more on how to further my vision for more economic and human rights equality and justice in the world.Yes, I am an idealist - - and why shouldn’t I be an idealist? It is my BIRTHRIGHT as a HUMAN BEING to be an idealist ... to want the best for myself and the world that I live in!! Without idealists, what would the world be like???
Did you ever think about that?!?!?!?! So, I don’t think that the term “idealist†is an insult (as some people tend to throw it around sometimes)... I think it is a BADGE OF COURAGE!
