As an adolescent living in New York City, Decora was an avid listener of Hip Hop and Poetry. Entering High School he became very well rounded with the four elements, from Graffiti, to B- Boying, to DJing local mix tapes. It wasnt until his first year of college that Decora decided to start to perform. As time went on the group The Readnex Poetry Squad started to form, consisting of Cuttz, Latin Translator and Decora himself. Disgusted with the evident decrease in socially progressive Hip Hop in the main stream, in 2003 Decora along with the Readnex Poetry Squad joined the conscious movement forward on the underground Hip Hop scene. Removing all borders and constraints placed by commercial mongrels used to categorize music, Decora and the Readnex Poetry Squad combined Hip Hop and Poetry at all there shows. Since then, Decora has won numerous awards at different venues and performed around the United States and Europe in places such as The Worlds famous Apollo Theater in Harlem U.S.A, The Nuyorican Poets Caf in Manhattan and he has even done a commercial on HBO Latino alongside Cuttz.
