I have a number of views on Christianity, especially in the Black church. So often we are so "religious". Religion has absolutely nothing to do with Christ. Religion is nothing but doing something repetitive, out of the head, not the heart. It`s all about a RELATIONSHIP with Christ. It`s sad to say but even those in the Body of Christ have oughts against their brothers and sisters because of differences in beliefs. Some denominations are knocked because they don`t do what others do or don`t do. I don`t know what other bibles have printed in them but mine says "Who also (God) made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." How can we as so called "Spirit-filled Christians" win the lost with all of the junk in the camp? How can we live a life pleasing in the sight of God if we don`t get along with each other? To put it in the lowest common denominator, we need to get it together. Christ is coming back for His bride, a church without spot or wrinkle, so we need to let Him cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness and iron out all of the wrinkles in our lives.
I surely have more views on this and in order to not offend anyone reading this I`ll just quote the Scripture found in 1 Samuel 16:7. But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. Many times we look at man from our limited perspective, which is the flesh. Praise God, He`s not like man. God anointed David king not because of how he looked or how we think he should have looked. David was anointed because he was a man after God`s own heart. What I`m saying is that if we are saved and and especially if we are filled with the Holy Ghost, we should look at each other as God sees us. I`m gon` leave that alone, just send me a note if you want to go farther into it.
