Remy Salama a.k.a Remy S, other alias Shnella. Born in Cairo, Egypt in 1987 at the age of 6 he started his musical journey by learning how to play the piano. After listening to some techno tunes later in his life by the likes of Prodigy and 666 he became inspired by those sounds and wanted more than just a piano. After that the music scene in Egypt started evolving from techno to trance then house.At first he didn’t like those commercial tunes since they were very different but when he experienced the sounds of progressive house from Andy Ef, he knew this was what he wanted to do. At the age of 17 he went out and bought his first production software and midi. And this is when it all began. Mainly inspired by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Dj Tarkan, V-sag, Mashtronic, Paul Thomas, Martin Garcia…etc (The never ending list continues). His first real production (I Trust No One) received top charting by Dj Tarkan in May 2006 and many others later that year. But it didn’t stop there!
His home based studio is where all the cooking, baking and seasoning of fresh gourmet tunes is where you can find Remy at almost any hour of the day (when he's not in college) He's young, fresh and interested in making a change pretty cool isn’t he?
