About Me

..I'm a 28 year-old transplant from the New Orleans area, working in Longview, TX and living in Marshall, TX. Just so you'll know, I have a tendency to be highly opinionated, incredibly funny, and keenly observant. I've been called some of everything, but I most cherish the titles "friend", "counselor" and "confidante".
Having been born a creative soul, I don't accept the status quo and refuse to be in bondage to business as usual. I'm an outside of the box kind of guy that can embrace being misunderstood because I don't live for the acceptance or validation of others. The gift to listen and converse thoughtfully are closely held treasures of mine, and I endeavor to only deposit godly wisdom into others.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

There are a few people I'd like to meet who have inspired me through reading their autobiographies: Patti LaBelle, Quincy Jones, and Kirk Franklin. The media deceives the masses with their inaccurate portrayals of people. I have learned and now understand so much more about these three personalities since I've read their stories.

In God's Presence - Part Five

Functioning anywhere other than in God's presence positions us, as Kingdom citizens, to function beneath our potential. No matter how hard we may try, we can't ever beat God's system. God is eternal a...

In God's Presence - Part Four

In the presence of God, we experience change. Many people purposefully (and/or even subconsciously) avoid entering into God's presence because they're not willing to change. The mindset at work here w...

In God's Presence - Part Three

Often times I think about how different my life could have been had I spent more time in God's presence earlier in life. I can't help but wonder how much farther along I'd be in my journey to fulfilli...

In God's Presence - Part Two

As it was stated in the previous blog, it is God's will for us to exist in His presence, the ideal environment in which we've been designed to function. Therefore, there should be no more excuses for ...

In God's Presence - Part One

I recently read an article online penned by a worship leader, in which he stated, "The presence of God is the established ideal atmosphere in which mankind was designed to function." That statement im...

I Can't Help It; I Just Gotta...

For some reason, the Sunday School lesson I taught this morning just won't let me go. It came from Isaiah 6:1-8, which recounted the author and prophet's calling via a vision he had while worshipping ...

What This Season Means To Me

With this season of the year comes a distinct atmosphere. I won't attempt to define it, but I certainly acknowledge its existence. Quite honestly, my take on the holiday season is very private. As op...

My Praise Will Not Die

Isn't it funny how the enemy attempts to get to you by raising his head in the lives of those closest to you? I don't mean to give Satan any airtime, but please allow me to make this plain to him: jus...

It's A New Season

Early last month, my church congregation experienced a demonstrative move of GOD, during which our pastor was led by the Holy Spirit to decree that it was a new season for those who would by faith tap...
