I have lived in Colorado Springs for 5 years now....CRAZINESS!!!! I never thought I'd be here that long! I left Hermiston, the town I lived in my entire life, the January after I graduated highschool. I did an internship, called the Honor Academy, at Teen Mania Ministries. I graduated and stayed there a second year to lead and disciple other intern girls. I left there and went back to Hermiston, got a job (the two jobs I had during my time there were two of my favorites), and quickly got involved in my church. I taught a Sunday school class for 4 & 5 year olds, served as a leader in the youth group, and eventually led a young adult group at my apartment. After about a year and a half I received a phone call from Chris Paulene. Chris was staff at Teen Mania when I was an intern. He called me from Colorado Springs and offered me a job in accounting, working for a company called Coleson Foods. I wanted to say no right away; accounting was NOT what I wanted to do or what I felt "called" to do. I wanted to do missions, move every 2 years, travel to spanish-speaking countries, disciple people. Yet, for some reason, I felt God wanted me to consider it. About 2 weeks later, I decided to move. Though I didn't understand why, I knew God was calling me to move to Colorado Springs. Within about a month, I packed up all my stuff and drove from Hermiston, Oregon to Colorado Springs, Colorado.
