Everything started with my Grandma. She was the one who were taking me, as a kid, tons of sundays into church, singing holy songs till i almost turned into a nun...thanx god, i'm not a virgin anymore but my voice has a holy touch...well, thats my opinion. :p
Decades of years later, Kai Hawaii , Nils Ruzicka
and i were sitting in our small studio talking about music and i wanted Nils listening to a song which our Co-DJ NeMi always spun on the dancefloor = Tango 2000. Nils was practically amazed and thought, we could cover that song and i should sing it. After a few days we met in his studio and started with Tango 2000 but no cover version without permission of the owner. So i wrote an email to Meikel Claus, he was founder of Tango 2000 in the early 80ies and member of Nichts and KFC an old crazy punk band. He also became famous with Belfegore - "All that she wanted".
Meikel loved the idea of a rebirth of Tango 2000 and asked Nils if it would be possible to play the guitar?! We were glad that Meikel wanted to come, playing the original guitar and giving us some influences of the good old days. After Tango 3000 (we were allowed to update it cause the version is refreshed) was done, Nils and i produced some more songs which are not on CDs yet. We tried getting a contract with some labels but they had problems with the handling and since it is like that - Ari Hawaii is free :)
** UPDATE **
We're not going to release the songs soon... We wanted it first though but it's better staying free than being signed....lol.
