About Me

" I'm a visionary, who believes in living a purpose driven life."Gréi Booker is a well-rounded highly motivated individual with an extensive Marketing, Public Relations, and Special Event Management background that spans more than 12 years and includes a plethora of administrative and managerial experience within diversely competitive fast paced corporate environments.Music and Entertainment was woven into the fabric of her life starting with her grandfather, Joseph Ellis Faustin, a BMI published writer and composer, whom she credits for her impeccable ear. Her love affair with music began at a very early age and by the time she was thirteen she was committed to following her dreams of becoming a female hip hop artist. In 1998, after many years of mastering her craft the college junior left the prestigious Howard University where she was attending as an International Business major, and secured a recording deal with writer and producer, Mr. Tamir “Nokio” Rufin of platinum selling R&B group Dru Hill’s N-tity Productions. The label had short lived success. Though her dreams of becoming an artist never flourished, she was blessed through her many experiences to build substantial relationships with successful business professionals, entertainers, producers, and industry executives. Most of all Gréi was able to learn the business of music and entertainment from both sides of the coin. After being exposed to the executive aspects of the industry she decided to continue her education, and while enrolled as a Mass Communications major at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Gréi started her career as a Publicist/Special Events Coordinator with a small boutique firm, JAG Entertainment Consultants (with diverse clientele) in Manhattan. Then with the help of a business associate she was offered the opportunity to work as Director of Marketing and Promotions for SAR Entertainment/Request Artist Management, which handled such adult contemporary artists as: Phil Perry, Glenn Jones, Howard Hewitt, Regina Belle, Tony Terry, and distributed recorded works for The Howard Stern Show and its affiliates, all before her 25th birthday. In January of 2002 Gréi left SAR Entertainment and put the “industry” on hold in search of something more personally fulfilling and enriching, and accepted a position as the Director of a state and federally funded Non-Profit organization called Team Management 2000 Inc. Gréi designed, coordinated, and facilitated academic, occupational, recreational, and interventional workshops, programs, fundraisers, and special events geared toward assisting troubled youth and their families throughout the Bergen County New Jersey area.Through her work with Team Management 2000 Inc. Gréi received state proclamations, senate resolutions and awards for her dedication in educating and mentoring over 100 youth, in addition to receiving overwhelming sponsorship participation from Corporate Businesses and the Entertainment Industry in her enlightening and fun filled Annual Youth Awareness Day: Beats, Style and Life, which focused on promoting abstinence and HIV and AIDS awareness.Grei’s ultimate occupational goal is to become a driving force in the world of Marketing and Public Relations, while sustaining her obligation to her community. She stands firm by saying, “I want to educate and enhance the lives of others through my work and efforts, as well as offer the same opportunities to the younger generation, which were afforded to me. Though, I have made many accomplishments in my life, I believe that this is only the beginning and there a many lessons yet to be learned. I am a student in a school of fish, and we are all competing for the opportunity to open the next chapter in our professional lives.”Currently, Gréi Booker resides in Atlanta, GA where she works as a Marketing/PR Consultant through Violet-Gréi Entertainment Group(her own firm). Her most esteemed accomplishment to date is successfully achieving her MBA in Marketing and a Masters in Entertainment Management with honors through American Intercontinental University (Buckhead campus) April of 2008.
