I am a travelling cellist who lives in Burbank when I'm not working. When I'm in Burbank, though, I guess I'm still working. On the road, I am the cellist for the national tour of the Phantom of the Opera. It's really an amazing job and I'm very lucky to have it. Yes, the fog gets in the pit and no, I don't have it totally memorized and yes, some days I am sick of playing it but still love it (answers to the top questions asked by audience members). It's a great opportunity to travel and experience different cities for a good amount of time while having a set schedule, a regular paycheck, and a high level of performance. My freelancing career is also wonderful. It is full of diversity and I get the pleasure of working with so many different and wonderful people. The combination of freelancing and Phantom is perfect!
Aside from work, I love the outdoors and am starting to get into running, but still have my couch potato side. I stay up way too late on a regular basis and could be more organized in certain ways, but otherwise I'm doing alright. I've had some rough patches in the last couple years, but I'm trying to stay on a path of self-improvement. I always try to look on the bright side of things (my blood type is B-positive), laugh at the hard stuff, and am a total cheeseball. I guess that's me in a nutshell.
