Can I water your imagination?

About Me

My main goal in life is to be as happy as possible, while making everything else around me as happy as possible as well. You can argue as much as you want that happiness is solely a human trait, but if you ever pay attention to the things around you, you’ll notice that they experience happiness too. All sentient things do. They may not label it happiness, but they experience it, as do plants and ecosystems. Everything on the planet has a state in which it would like to exist, whether it consciously knows it or not. My goal is to help get everything as close to that state as possible. I’m not sure how I’m going to do that yet, but I am sure that that is what I want.
I’m currently attending Cleveland State, majoring in anthropology and minoring in history. It’s not the best school ever, but I’m saving my money now, so that I can afford a better school for my graduate work. Eventually, I want to be a museum curator.
In case you haven’t noticed already, I’m a complete nerd. I work in a library, I think an exciting day consists of going to a museum or zoo or park, and I spend my free time reading about environmental issues and trying to teach myself useless skills, like how to play the pan flute, or maybe how to speak Icelandic.
I’m a vegetarian. I’m not a nut. I’m also not going to rant about why I don’t eat meat. If you’re curious, though, feel free to ask. But really, I hate being considered the stereotypical vegetarian. I don’t expect you to care about what I eat, but please either understand my reasoning or just disregard my diet.
At this point in my life, I’m looking to make real, honest, decent friends, friends who are free from high school politics, friends who will be permanent. If you can’t offer any of that to me, then don’t involve yourself with me, please. I’m not going to have it.

My Interests

The interactions between pedestrians and interestingly painted, box-shaped vans.

Once Zhuangzi dreamt that he was a butterfly, a butterfly flitting and flying around, content with himself and doing as he pleased. He did not know he was Zhuangzi. Suddenly, he woke up and there he was, solid and clearly Zhuangzi. But he did not know if he was really Zhuangzi who had dreamt that he was a butterfly, or a butterfly now dreaming he was Zhuangzi. Between Zhuangzi and a butterfly there must be some difference. These are the transformations of things.

I don't want to read your words.  Or anyone else's.  Everytime I try, my eyes water over.  I can't read your poems.  I'll ruin lives if I do.  I want to stick to books of peop...

Summer studies.

It smells like fourteen year olds dissecting crayfish.  Or maybe it's just sweat.  I wasn't ready for this summer.  I want to live in my memory.  No, I don't.  I want everythi...

I don't understand.  I don't understand why everyone tells me their problems.  Why it's always the people who cause mine.  Why it's the people who don't care about mine.  I don't u...

No tape to waste.

I can only write things when I'm sad.  I can only write things when I am a particular sad.  A turtle died today and I cried for at least an half an hour.  But I can't write a poem about...

I’ll never understand people.  Of course I’m studying anthropology.  Studying how things were.  How things maybe should be.  Nostalgic fuck.  Today in my ethics cl...

I dont understand.

"What comes is greater than what came before."  I keep thinking about that.  If things only get better, and things are only getting better, then I should be happy about that, right? But wha...
