Get Your Own Voice Player ManageEvelyn Gomez (Soprano, Alto) was born in the small town of Belton, Texas, the youngest of six children; the music bug bit her at a very young age. While in kindergarten, her eldest brother kept her and her siblings occupied by having them pick songs from the radio. He would assign her vocal parts and her youngest brother the rhythm arrangements. Her eldest brother played drums, bass and keyboards and would get them all together to have family jam sessions. From then on the need to sing and create music was etched into her soul. Throughout her childhood and adolescents she participated in talent shows, pageants, and community events. In middle school and high school she and her youngest brother would form bands and play at parties and school festivals. She studied legendary artists like Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holliday, Chaka Khan, and many other legendary artists.Crystal Taylor (Alto/Tenor) was born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. She grew up an Army brat, along with her younger sister and brother. She found comfort in her music while in junior high school. She comments she used to stay in her room for hours singing along and recording herself on her boom box. When my parents bought me a keyboard it was on! She explains.
While her father was stationed in Germany she got her chance to spread her wings with musicians of different cultures and styles. She seized every opportunity to learn every aspect of the business she could to make her a more rounded musician. By the time she was 22 she had gained experience in stagehand work, stage performance, writing, and studio recording. That’s where her love for engineering came into play.Introducing: Jackie Oxford (Alto) was born in Vietnam, Army Brat now living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She met Crystal and Evelyn through a local band and through vocal sessions and musical chemistry was asked to make KLAZZIQUE a trio. She has a deep passion for music and a wide range of influential styles. She claims to be an 80's girl, but she can bring the flava! Music and dance have been her love from an early age. Now she feels it's time to let the world know who she is.Which brings us to the start of this sultry R&B trio called KLAZZIQUE. What does it mean? It describes classy, jazzy and unique. Evelyn Gomez and Crystal Taylor met in 1999 through a mutual friend and instantly clicked. They spent several years volunteering their time and talents as musical mentors to youth in the community. But their musical chemistry began to draw so much attention it inspired the duo to concentrate on writing and recording.
After years of frustration and disappointment trying to find reliable musicians and build their sound they were introduced to AP RECORDS by a dear departed friend. Happy to finally find a company who recognized their talent they completed their first CD "Crystalized Evelution". With their passionate lyrics, hypnotic grooves and sensuous harmony it’s not hard to see why. These two sista's have Flava. They write and arrange their own music. Their music deals with real life issues of love, heartbreak and pain.
