At the age of 13 he moved to Eastern New Orleans with his dad, were he stayed for a year. After that year was up he then returned to his West bank home in the “Cutt-Off†located in Algiers. Darrel (DeeNyce) gained interest in music when a close friend (Kevia Bennett) influenced Darrel to start writing verses and hooks to see if he was any good at it. Darrel always use to joke around with his peers, they liked the lyrics and what he used to rap about and told him he was nice. Darrel than took rap a little more serious and started writing everyday and night. After awhile Kevia Bennett gave up his music dream but didn’t let Darrel give up on his. In 2003 Darrel started a rap duo called the “prospectsâ€, which included another childhood friend who had moved from New Orleans to Baltimore, Maryland, then came back to rap after a year up north. The group recorded numerous tracks together under a local record label that never got up off the ground. In 2006 Anthony Hall (Young Heat) was convicted and charged with possession of a firearm and narcotics, and was sentenced to five years. Darrel began recording as a solo artist, hoping to pave the way for himself and fellow group member Anthony Hall (Young Heat). Now in grind mode, Darrel is trying to get his music out to the public to create his own street buzz. Now a talented song writer with potential, Darrel plans on writing R&B songs for R&B artist.
