About Me

Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Michael began playing guitar and piano at age 10, then moved on to bass guitar, mandolin, and other stringed instruments, as well as keyboards and synthesizers. He was a founding member of Grande Hotel and Metropolis, which appeared frequently at the Bayou, the Cellar Door, the Warner Theatre, and Louie's Rock City. More recently, he was an occasional member of Downtown, performing at Fat Tuesdays, Sully's, and other area nightclubs. He is a member of the group Ritual Echo. Michael works in his home digital recording studio, and has served as engineer and producer of Ritual Echo CDs. He is currently involved in composing an original score for the Gray Barker documentary "Whispers From Space." An honors graduate of the Corcoran School of Art, he has pursued a career in art as well as music. Michael owns one of the country's premiere animation and film art galleries, ArtInsights, located in Reston Town Center, Virginia. This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
