Drums and Vocals = Peran OdgersTheir music is often described as voracious rock twinned with delicate three part vocal harmony and a twist of sleaze. Their influences range from old school Led Zeppelin and Hendrix to the avante-guard sound of contemporary band like The Pixies and The Strokes.The Heathenz originally started out as a three piece contemporary Rockband called "The Electric Friendz" some 5 years ago. The Electric Friends had considerable success during their 2 or so years together, releasing a 3 track demo, shooting a music video with Apocalypso films and touring the South West extensively. During this period they also played in Scotland, Ireland, the North-East and London as a support group for larger bands such as Alabama 3etc. The band also headlined for a sellout show at the Princess Pavilions in Falmouth raising several thousand for the Tsunami appeal in Thailand.With the Departure of Spence on Bass and vocals in 06 the band continued and Changed their name to "THE HEATHENZ".
The band have had substantial success writing, recording and touring. the percentage of their performances have been in and around the South West and have gained a cult following from old bikers and young rockers alike. Their performances of notable value have included a small tour of the South of France supporting cult band "The Dollars" and festivals such as Surfstock,St Agnes, the Sunshine Maker festival in Plymouth, Holifare in Cornwall and the South West Bike show,Exeter. All of which were received with great enthusiasm.
The Original Band has now reformed and have written some spectacular new material which is in the process of being recorded. A 10 date tour from Penzance to Bristol has just been organized for the beginning of march. for Booking details please go to
