SENSE OF SOUND CHOIR is a collective of exceptional individuals, who under the musical direction of Perri Alleyne-Hughes delivers soulful, rhythmic, organic, sensitive, experimental, alternative and mainstream songs.
We were formed in November 2005.
Our musical tastes are as diverse as we are. Our members hail from various corners of the globe and we are based in Liverpool.
Rest assured that if you have an interesting musical idea we will be able to enhance it; such is our passion for vocal arrangement, experimentation, and performance. Oh yeah, did I mention we look good too!
The track we have included on our page was a dance track that we made with 100% productions last year which is still to be released.
We love all genres of music and our influences are wide and varied.
We were grand finalists in BBC RADIO 3's CHOIR OF THE YEAR COMPETITION in 2006.
To date, our journey has been amazing. We have worked with Seal, John Bon Jovi, Brian Eno, Ringo Starr, Dave Stewart, Damon Albarn, Imogen Heap, Kenny Anderson (King Creosote), David Coulter, Sandy Dillon, David Gilmour, Roger Waters and many more - We wish to collaberate further with many more interesting and established artists!
Our latest venture saw us entering the latest reality BBC1 show called Last Choir Standing. Check out the audition video and all other performances throughout the competition at www.bbc.co.uk/lastchoirstanding.
JOANNE ROBERTS is our photographer and as if by magic she sings with us too!
JENNIFER JOHN is our manager and you can talk to her about any ideas you may have to work with us.
ALL OF THE GORGEOUS PEOPLE IN THE TOP GROUP ARE EITHER PART OF OUR CHOIR OR ARTISTS WE HAVE COLLABORATED WITH! XXX
Here are some of the nice things that people have said about us...
"I would like to thank you all for your wonderful performance at our World Aids day Candlelit Vigil, you sounded fantastic!!"
