About Me

..
Biography
Dave Miller was born in Holland in 1969. With a German mother and Dutch father he grew up in the south-east near Eindhoven. In the 80's his passion for electronic music resulted in a large collection of rare and obscure records. After some time he bought his own hardware music studio and started to develop his skills as a DJ and producer.
His career took a boost in 1999 as he reached the final of a Dutch DJ contest. He joined booking agency Musika Tremenda, which was situated in The Hague, and started to play at clubs such as Nighttown, Effenaar, Paard, 013 and Club Risk. Dave Miller was regularly part of the Integrate line-ups and he also played at Teqnology in the Heineken Music Hall and of course the famous Dutch Awakenings events. His first and succesful appearance in Poland in 2001 resulted in several DJ bookings in Eastern Europe such as the U-Club in Bratislava and the Instytut Energetyki party in Warsaw.
Although his choice of music always depends on the location, time and crowd his DJ sets are generally characterized by dark energetic rhythms layered with hypnotizing sounds and deep atmospheric soundscapes. Current musical influences are Surgeon, Regis, James Ruskin, Mike Parker, Steve Rachmad, Damon Wild, Jeff Mills and DJ Slip.
Together with Damian Keane, Eddy Kreischer and Sicco Bosscher he founded the Dutch techno label Audiosculpture in the year 2000. The label has already seen support by international DJ’s like Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch, Joel Mull, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Steve Rachmad and DJ Rush. In the future Dave Miller will continue recording for Audiosculpture and produce some tracks for other labels.
