Finn-Ero Bustadmo bought his first guitar as a twelve-year-old boy with dreams of becoming a rock star. After some failed “garage band†projects he almost gave up his music career, one can not question the fact that he as a teenager didn’t share his band colleges’ fascination for quick money, working as local dance musicians playing for dancers not listeners. He went tired of this, sold his guitar and moved to Tromsø to begin an education as a chef.
After some years Finn-Ero had a long and boozed up evening with the guitarist Rune Olsen who previously had bought his “old†guitar, they decided to form the band ELEMENTS, named after Deep Purple’s bass player Roger Glover’s solo record.
Since then he has been faithful to this music style and has built up a solid amount of experience and very good reviews as a singer and songwriter. Finn-Ero has always felt “at home†on the arena of classic rock with his sources of inspiration, like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Walter Trout Band.
Elements have over the years produced several spectacular shows, like “A tribute to Deep Purple†(1997-98), “Classic Rock†(1999),“Highway Stars†together with The Norwegian Army Band in Harstad (2002-03), and “From Vivaldi to Deep Purple†together with the MiN Ensemble (2003). In addition to this they’ve had several radio - and national TV performances in Norway (5th place in the “Stjerner i sikte†final in 1996, where they performed as Deep Purple).
In the autumn of 2002 Finn-Ero made his debut with his first solo project “Finneroâ€.
The band launched their first album “From where I stand†at their own record label Infant Records in 2003. The album was followed by a successful tour in Norway, Denmark and Estonia during the spring and summer of 2004.
Finn-Ero has throughout the years as a singer and producer gained a broad range of
experience and a useful network of contacts. He is now the leader of “Harstad Rytmiske
Scene†(“Harstad Rhythmic Arenaâ€) where he also works as a producer. Among the many projects are concerts with HTP (Glenn Hughes and Joe Lynn Turner) in North Norway in 2002. In addition to this Finn-Ero managed all promotion and production related to Robert Plant & the Strange Sensations “Arctic Circle Tour†in 2003.
The spring of 2005 Finn-Ero had a solo role (Valentin) in the metal version of the opera
“Faust†at the Kristiansund Opera. He also took part in the following tour which lasted for two months. The autumn of 2005 was filled with exciting projects. Finn-Ero’s large scale show in Harstad Culture House made the press throw the dice – it landed on six! This opened new doors and has once and for all established Finn-Ero as a “rock gigant†(ref. local paper; Harstad Tidende)
Finn-Ero received the “Culture award 2005†of Harstad Sparebank for his positive and enthusiastic work for the “culture town in the north†especially for his contribution to the young rock generation. Finnero released the album “In the spirit of classic rock†this spring and will play at a lot of festivals and shows this year, like the support act of Deep Purple on Norwegian leg of the “Rapture of the Deep tour†in June.
2007 is the year that Finnero will establish his band in the US market based in Las Vegas.
