About Me

Paul Valery said - People are intimately more complicated than their thoughts, so i think also more complicated than the way they describe themselves! I'm complicated, but a few words about me for you to start with - I'm easily excited, opinionated, smile a lot, a perfectionist and I value honesty. I would say I was trustworthy, but I suppose that's really a matter of opinion, I'm not materialistic, I try to keep an open mind, I listen to every word you say and remember it. Family is important to me. I can't hold a grudge. Im quiet around new people. I'm addicted to chocolate. I hardly ever drink coffee - when I do it's decaf (I'm hypo enuff) but I love green tea & hot chocolate. I want to get married, eventually - it shouldn't change a relationship if it was right to start with. Everyone has their sob stories, but I don't believe that gives you an excuse to act without morals..past hurts are not an excuse to hurt others.."do unto others as you would have others do unto you" (Matthew 7:120).
You only get what you give, so I try to be the best person I can be. God made us exactly the way we were meant to be, so I try to accept everyone just as they are. We should all strive to better ourselves: don't be scared of being the 'tall poppy' - it just gives others the inspiration to grow taller themselves!
I've completed my bachelors in human movements (exercise physiology) with a major in health promotion, and also my post grad teaching so hopefully I can work in a special school (so I can combine my two passions - child rehabilitation and teaching).

One of my favourite sayings: "If you do something that turns out wrong, you can almost always put it right, get over it, learn from it or at least deny it. But once you've missed out on something, it's gone. There will be the girl you never got to say the right words to, the band you never got to see live, the winning streak you never got to cheer on, the brilliant retiring professor whose class you never took, the relative you never got very close to. It's a long list no matter what. Try to keep it as short as possible" - Gordon Drizschilo.
"We are not held back by the love we didn’t receive in the past, but by the love we are not offering in the present".
"It is not only the scenery we miss, by going too fast".

My Interests

Photography, art, horse riding, and all sports really, dancing, soccer, scrap-booking, ten pin bowling, cars, music, some poetry, labradors, the kids attending the special school I work/volunteer at, cooking, hands-on things, fishing, morning laps at the local pool.

I LIKE hugs, massages, the beach, bass, someone playing with my hair, snow falling on my face, the smell of rain, strawberries dipped in Nutella, roadtrips, pink, hugs, laughing for no reason, swinging on swings, chocolate, hugs, haircuts, bakeries, the smell of fresh basil, dancing to live music, pink gerberas, hugs, long distance phonecalls, painting, wrapping christmas presents, Green Tea products - as in Elizabeth Arden Green Tea perfume, Audrey Hepburn, wise old men (like my Daddy), 'deep and meaningfuls', the seasons, gardens, did I mention hugs?, the smell of a BBQ cooking, home-made pizzas, frangipanis, and dreams.
I DON'T LIKE needles (no tatoos and only my ears are pierced), drugs, eyedrops, being sworn at, dishonest crude or rude people, being defined because I have religious beliefs, when people won't say sorry, cheaters, scary drunk men, having chronic fatigue, eggplant, that everyone texts and noone phones anymore. I'm not a big fan of Coke..

I'd like to meet:

Who we are emerges from where we've been and those we've met.. I don't mind meeting anyone, but that doesn't make you a true friend. I treasure all my friendships, everyone has something unique to offer. I believe in second chances but only to a point. Don't lie to me! I would rather have 3 real friends than 15 acquaintances, so if you don't treat me like a real friend, don't expect to be one. You can call me nicknames, my personality stays the same - people shouldn't change to try and be what someone else wants. They say you always find out who your real friends are: so I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Music:
