"A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions." (Oliver Wendell Holmes)
Everyday means change, every hour, every minute. I am not the same, who I used to be one second ago, and I will be someone else in ten minutes. So, who am I? Even if there is no inner self, there's only one way:
Know thyself - Erkenne dich selbst!
Speaking in more non-philosophical words, I am a promoter and public relations agent from Wuerzburg, Germany. I am very much into fine food and wine, as well as into travelling round the world, especially to asia. I like snowboarding, and I'm totally addicted to music: punkrock, hardcore, but also old school rap, some heavy metal and electronic music. I'm interested in sociology and religions; even though I don't believe in God (at least not in a christian way), I can feel the divinity in myself and in each and every person.
Now I'm in control of my life. You see, the ego is never in control. The ego is controlled by wishes for comfort and convenience on the part of the body, by demands of the mind, and by outbursts of the emotions. But the higher nature controls the body and the mind and the emotions. I can say to my body, "Lie down there on that cement floor and go to sleep," and it obeys. I can say to my mind, "Shut out everything else and concentrate on this job before you," and it's obedient. I can say to my emotions, "Be still, even in the face of this terrible situation," and they are still. It's a different way of living. The philosopher Thoreau wrote: If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps he hears a different drummer. And now I dance to the beat of a different drummer - the higher nature instead of the lower."Das Auge ist des Leibes Licht. Wenn nun dein Auge hell ist, so ist dein ganzer Körper licht; so aber dein Auge trübe ist, so ist auch dein Leib finster. So schaue darauf, daß nicht das Licht in dir Finsternis sei. Wenn nun dein Leib ganz vom Licht erfüllt ist, daß er kein Stück von Finsternis hat, so wird er so licht sein, wie wenn ein Licht mit hellem Blitz dich erleuchtet."

He was able to understand the potency of emptiness, that nothing exists except in its relationship of subjectivity and objectivity. One day, in a mood of sublime emptiness, Subhuti was resting underneath a tree when flowers began to fall about him.
"We are praising you for your discourse on emptiness," the gods whispered to Subhuti. "But I have not spoken of emptiness," replied Subhuti. "You have not spoken of emptiness, we have not heard emptiness," responded the gods. "This is the true emptiness." The blossoms showered upon Subhuti as rain.
