Basically, this thing was created as a way of keeping the members of Plano Senior High School's Edelweiss Chapter of the National Honor Society notified about upcoming projects.
A major problem last year was the kind of "feeding frenzy" atmosphere that would occur whenever new projects were posted.
People would have to alter their schedules to pass by the bulletin board multiple times during the day in the hopes of finding a project with available sign up spots.
If that person happened to stumble upon a project, the word quickly spread, and, by the next passing period, pandemonium would erupt in the narrow hallway outside the lecture hall.
The new officers, listed below, have saught to remedy this. First, the bulletin board was moved to a more accessible location, the English hallway, downstairs of Building A. Furthermore, they are using new methods of communication to inform their members of project postings.
The project system has gained importance in the 2006-2007 school year as compared to previous years. The requirements for eligibility in NHS include SOLELY the completion of 6 projects. Thus, spreading awareness of projects is crucial for a successful membership. The officers of the 2006-2007 school year are as follows:
