About Me
Utter Velocity is a five piece, Modern Rock band from Baltimore, MD. The band consists of two guitarists, one drummer, one bass guitarist, and a DJ. Our influences range from Cyprus Hill and Limp Bizkit to Disturbed and Godsmack. With that said, we blend these different types and styles into our own music. New-metal, hard rock, alternative and even punk can be heard in our time perfected songs. Our heavy bass, melodic, and motivating sound has made us well known and has kept us in the spot light for over four years. We feel Utter Velocity will continue for many more years, not just because we are the best of friends, but because we are always writing new material that grows and expands with every new song.We have kept the crowd jumping at Recher Theatre, The Vault, The Mojo, and The Brass Monkey Saloon. In our four years of playing out, we have played with many great Baltimore bands such as H.T.D, Ponomint, Sinacage, Ten Ton Nod, Audio Subversion, and Solar Cult. On average we draw 75-150 people per show, creating a party atmosphere and making any room, regardless of size, intimate. Although we do have a good, steady following we are not yet satisfied. Each show we play is more fun and Utter Velocity attracts new fans, swelling its ever-increasing draw.
