I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I've been working on the tugs now for a while. I'm to the point where I am actively training others. It has brought a new interesting aspect to the job. The job on the boat itself is getting old. I'm more likely to wait for orders than I am to jump on something. I'm not lazy, but I often don't realize what needs to be done. Well when I do nothing I tend to get extremely tired and I head to bed. Now I have the terrible habit of hitting the sack every time the boat moves. I've been working to reform myself. On a personal note, I've gotten married! We ended up moving our wedding date way up and then we had to move it around several times because of work. Finally we did the dead and I'm really happy with it. We had the most awesome time at Disney World, though we could have chose a better week to go. We've been married for 7 weeks now, but because of work I was only there for two of them. I'm really hoping to find another job or something because being gone all the time is a real strain on my relationship. She just can't stand it when I'm gone. It makes a guy feel loved. Well We also bought the house a few months before we got married. It's that same house that she picked out and bid on. It's got a few kinks, but it's nice, especially for our first place. The big thing is the dog keeps escaping. We have the worlds worst fence and I'm doing all I can to keep it in one piece, but he is just too good at getting out of it. He almost didn't come back this time because I think someone was trying to keep him (I guess he escaped from them, too). On the friends note, I have very few. I am trying to move heaven and earth to get my friends together for an online D&D game, but it is proving to be impossible. We are all just too busy in our own separate lives to be able to come together at irregular periods (because of my job). I was always happiest playing D&D when I was growing up. All my fondest memories are about sometime when we were playing the game. I know our games will never be like that again, but just playing would give me the warm fuzzies. I've also given up on every card game out there. I've played the varst majority of them and have to come to several conclusions. One, they are expensive and are designed to keep taking your money. Two, you are never going to have a better deck than the kid who's parents give him everything. Three, none of my friends are here and you can't play Magic The Gathering solitaire. I've decided that should I have the need and desire to play the card games then I will play the video game version. You only have to pay 20 bucks for an unlimited amount of cards (I've spent over a thousand on yu-gi-oh) and the competition on the game is about as good as you will find in the real world. My only other hobby that I am trying to get more into would be Oblivion. I was enjoying the game and then I found out that if you aren't moding then you aren't really playing the game. Of course I have to put it on hold so I can really play the game, but I am always so busy and never here which keeps me from moding and thus I never get to play the game. It sucks.
