Vince L. is a totaly self-taught chap who met music when he was 20. As he began to sharpen his musical skills on cheap keyboards at the beginning of 90s, he started to compose tunes and practice with a drummer friend. They created a cover band named "Collective drop" and Vince became bass player! After few gigs, he felt the need to create his own songs and grunge covers became quickly original creations.
In 1998, the band named "Bittersweet" offered darker melodies, joining several musical contests. After several vocal trainings, Vince discovered he had a... voice!!! And decided to use it in his band. But as lead singer, he quickly felt rock didn't really match his feelings and came back to his basic influences: 80s electro!
In 2001, Vincent and his girlfriend Jess flew to London and settle down for almost two years. In need of new musical and human experiences, he took this opportunity to increase his knowledge of English. He developed there an electro-industrial project called "Oblique" with the English composer Mark Stansfield ("Ten Year Cycle") who introduced him to the London electro/dark culture.
Back in Belgium in 2003 with new ideas in his suitcase, he carried on with his solo project and Oblique's experiences. At the same time, he managed to produce Jessica's Moonfish: an electro duo where he develops, arranges and mixes compositions with Jess.

At the end of 2004, Vince met DJ Gregg aka Kolombo who offered him to remix Obliques tracks and collaborate for Loulourecords label. Greggs powerful sounds and 80s musical references immediately seduced Vince, so they naturally decided to carry on mixing forces and released several tracks on vinyls

2008: Suffocating Minds has created a one hour set and plays in many belgian venues and festivals. In september 2008, the band will focuses on new material, album and will try to export in european countries! Let's work hard, guys!
