I am here for Networking

About Me

I am the bastard son of Brian Jones and Anita Pallenberg and apparently three yrs. older than I claim to be. I prefer deep space techno of the Detroit variety but I also am into other forms of glamorous sleaze like "Piss Factory" by Patti Smith and Motor City rock n roll in general. And while 60s and 70s punk still runs strong in veins I have no interest in popular music of any kind (never have) and little time for other musical forms which are all inferior to the robotic precision of techno. Music has played an important role in my life since day one and I have been in the business of music for 20 yrs. I once ran a company called VinylJunkie.com, an international record service for DJs and also worked for many years at the illustrious Bomp! Records, America's first indie label, and despite any of his shortcomings I still count the late Greg Shaw as a mentor. These days I spend a lot of time in the headphones and do a lot of freelance music writing as well as working on my own blog 24 Hour Party People ,always wishing I could write something as good as "James Taylor Marked For Death" by Lester Bangs (which he wrote as a teenager). That is of course when I am not hiking in the woods with my wife.
