This "About Me": Doesn't it change all of the time? Location, Status, State of Mind, etc. I love knowing what I know now and still feeling young at heart!!! I put no claim to the number of my years because it's beyond my belief that 43 years have gone by so fast.With my beloved Chihuahua in tow, I recently left Florida and returned to Texas after 16 years. My accent has found it's home again! Additionally, I left a 13 year relationship. It is true that sometimes "love is not enough"....I'm not certain if I like that statement or not. To me love remains forever and I'm truly blessed to have been loved throughout my whole life. The 'truth' is to allow the phases, changes and maturity of love to flow through our lives as they will. However, sometimes circumstances become too intrusive for even the most dedicated of couples to stay together. I'm a very lucky girl to have known intimacy and devotion despite my tendency to be moody and complicated (the paradox of the Cancer, with that damn hard shell and soft center does not fall short from this Crab).My ideas, beliefs, faith, lifestyle are pretty much different (OK, a lot different) from my family and it is so OK!! How exciting is that? Only in jest, do they rib me sometimes. At this point, I can't find the words to describe the support, confrontation, acceptance, much needed honesty and LOVE my family has shown me since returning to Texas. It hasn't been easy for them, I know. And it's been humiliating for me. I've learned that life has a way of humiliating me when I quit living in humble gratitude; that life has a way of forcing change when I'm too afraid to do it on my own. So, i've given them pause, I know! It's been the fear of my brother's illness and jubilance of his subsequent recovery; the same terrible illness ending in a young man's death, profoundly affecting my 'new' brothers and step-mother; the lingering journey of my Grandmother's old age, loss of senses and memory but never her wit, smile or laughter that has caused me to pause, allowing the lessons from a loving, cohesive, positive, faithful family to remind me of the 'stock' I come from. I can do anything!!!
