Iguane Xtet

About Me

The musical project of IGUANE Xtet has not been settled at once. Music has progressively become imperative along with the implication of the musicians.

In the early years, the band has favoured playing jazz standards. But today, most of the band's repertoire is made of original compositions. From beguine to mazurka, from funk to gwo-ka, IGUANE Xtet achieves a real fusion, leaving a great part to improvisation and sharing out. Music is cool and striking at once, but always with poetry. It is building bridges between musically different universes, elaborating a new language, sensitive for everybody, and where peculiar reaches universal.

From this musical encounter, and from the implication of the musicians, a CD has come, Maagix, out late 2005. This CD features several important guests: Jacques Schwarz-Bart (sax.), Bruno Jofa (vln) and Emil Spanyi (synth.). It is available directly from MusicMetis .
