Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History!

About Me

I got this cool layout at Magxzine.comI currently live in Seagoville with my son and fiance'. Will finish my college degree one day soon. I hope. Just finished the 60-mile walk for Breast Cancer. I am a former member of the Speaker's Bureau for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance and a Cubscout leader.I work as a project manager, part-time, for Universal Body Wellness. I see about 10 patients a week doing bodywork and rehabilitation. I work for a fabulous D.C. As well, I teach a 108-hour program in Medical Massage with focus on Pathology and Anatomy.I am getting married on April 28th at the Wyatt Mansion in Waxahachie. We are having an 1940's themed wedding complete with a cake with feathers and a Billie Holiday inspired gown. Jason will be wearing a zoot suit with matching fedora. The music will be Sinatra style and Big Band.I would like to climb Mt. Ranier one day.MY LIFE IS GREAT!

My Interests

Rock climbing, mountaineering epics, camping, scrapbooking, politics.I like to challenge myself to do new things.

I'd like to meet:

Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norway. (The first documented men to summit Everest).

Music:

I love old classic country and big band. Big fan of Concrete Blonde, Johnny Cash (yes, even before he became popular), Squirrel Nut Zippers, and Reverend Horton Heat.

Movies:

If it scares the f*%23k out of me I love it. My all-time fave is Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I got to see some of the horrorfest recently. It's awesome that movie producers are finding their niche with horror films.

Television:

Grey's Anatomy and the lovely housewives of Wysteria Lane. Also, Rescue Me on FX. (Dennis Leary is the bomb).

Books:

All time favorites are: The Hot Zone (about the Eboli outbreak in Africa), I Know This Much is True, She's Come Undone, and the Sweet Potato Queen series.I just finished: Running with Scissors, Naked.Currently reading: The Secret Lives of Fortunate Wives.

Heroes:

All of the soldiers that are overseas fighting to create democracy simply because they were told to. They do not question their leaders, they simply fight and risk their lives. God bless 'em all. Also, I want to pay tribute to the men and women that have overcome all odds and defeated gravity to sit on top of the world. These climbers risk life and limb for what they have determined is the ultimate goal. They are an example of what each of us carries within ourselves. They do the impossible.

virgins and marriage

I just wrote a nasty letter.  For the record, if you have never written a nasty letter to someone, you should.  It allows you to vent anger about the biases of life.  Granted, you shoul...

Climbers

I have always been intrigued by the many men and women that throw their fears of death out the window in order to pursue the goal of sitting on top of the world.  These climbers that risk life an...

Various rants

I know that I always get on my soapbox about stuff but you have to realize that sometimes I just have to vent.  See, I do not burp, sweat, or fart; therefore I have to voice my opinion.  Oth...

Lovin' the Blog

I'm just digging the blog thing.  Much cheaper than therapy.  I have royally pissed off a classmate by calling her on a shitty ass paper she compiled from the team.  I sure hate to hurt...
