The Octopus Machine

THE OCTOPUS MACHINE was conceived and born in late 2005 by DJ.NOBEATS as a secret lone side project, while still having musical commitments to other ventures. A multi-functional musician/artist with a taste for pushing borders of modern musical lines. He slowly started working on a few basic songs and ideas, consisting of various influences such as Industrial, Punk, Hardcore, Funk, and Classical just to name a few. In the hopes to create music he was passionate about and proud of and not just more “Cookie cutter pop Radio crap” as DJ. NOBEATS says.Then in early 2007 while in a now disbanded group, DJ.NOBEATS was faced with a choice “Should I stay or should I go?” The choice was made to discontinue work with the former band and concentrate on this new and exciting endeavor full-time, and with the enlistment of life long friend and musical genius DER WESPE. The Octopus Machine started to grow and gain momentum and creativity. Since the release of their first demo “DEEP SIX” in late 2007 and “DEEP SIX v2.0” in early 2008, people have begun to take notice of this not so ordinary group and keep coming back for more.Now with recordings complete on there first full length, self produced, self recorded album “CHUM ME WHEN I DIE” in production, “Slated for release in early 2009” on there own independent label Architeuthis Records. The duo have had more time to perform at shows and venues, while working on new music, videos and merchandise for the fans of The Octopus Machine. They have even taken on a live drummer RUSTY the PULLOUT METHOD to bolster their already eclectic and energetic live performances.The Octopus Machine is a unique and versatile group of musicians with a pure love of sound and its power to drive and influence people including themselves.
