"Otklonenie" is Russian female fronted melodic nu metal band. Originally formed in Moscow in 2002 by Otklonenie - the permanent leader of the band. From that time the band has changed much, both from inside and outside.

"Yes, we have changed… and changed much. Whether it’s good or bad that’s your to choose, but still, we are searching. That means that someday we will find…"

The birth date of the band is the 15th of December – the day of the first concert. The style of the music the band plays is Melodic Nu Metal.

The band currently consists of:

otklonenie – Vocals, Guitar

Fred – Guitar

mosquit – Bass

Mnemic – Drums

"…What is in your head? What are you sure of and what are you afraid of? What do you know and what you don’t? What are you thinking over and what is just passing by? What do you believe in? Whom do you love? What are you searching for? How do you find a way? Fear, hesitation, flashes of light and the darkest abyss… All that is in our songs…"

And what about the conception?

“Well… who can call themselves absolutely normal?We surely can not, and… we like it…We have so much in our heads, that if only you could see there, then you’d be awed !...But I think that all of you have much amazing in your heads too.That’s why we are together! Ain’t that so? That’s why you are listening! That’s why we are doing it! Deviation – That’s a diagnosis… Deviation – is incurable!”

In 2005 the songs of the band were included in the OST for the first Russian thriller "The last Weekend” In 2006 the band recorded their second album called “A Step Into the Dark” and in the spring of 2007 they recorded a promo video for the song “Soul Agony”[SH]. Today the band is finishing the EP called “All the Truth about Lies” performed on English. And their new studio album – “The Chemistry of Pain” is coming soon.
