About Me

"I am lucky enough as to have quite a few talented friends, but Jeff Alan Ross still manages to stand out. A creative writer, a remarkable singer and an exceptional musician I continue to find his musical input, his playing and arranging skills and his exceptionally helpful demeanour to be invaluable – perhaps second only in importance to his loyal and rewarding friendship. I am proud to be a fan." – Peter Asher (Producer: James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt)“Since meeting Jeff in the late 90s I have had the good fortune to share the stage with him on many occasions around the world as part of my "John Jorgenson and Friends" electric band. His talents shine ..board, guitar and stellar vocals, making him a "MVP" or "secret weapon" in any musical situation.” – John JorgensonIn the 1980's, Jeff became a member of the legendary Apple band, Badfinger, singing such classics as "No Matter What" and "Day After Day." In 1999, Bob Birch, bassist with Elton John, introduced Jeff to his band mate at the time, John Jorgenson. John, a world renown guitarist also of The Hellecasters and Desert Rose Band fame, asked Jeff to join his original electric group. Notably he has toured with Badfinger, John Jorgensen, Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones), and 60's teen idol Johnny Tillotson. Jeff is currently the musical director for the newly reunited Peter & Gordon as well as being a Pacemaker when Gerry Marsden (Gerry & The Pacemakers) tours in the United States. His newest CD, "Lock My Feelings In A Jar" is available now! ☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊ ☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊ ☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊If you order a hardcopy of "Lock My Feelings In A Jar" from our website, Jeff Alan Ross will sign a personalized copy just for you. Sounds Like: "I am extremely pleased to let the word out to everyone. Lock My Feelings In A Jar is a stunning album. Every song is of great merit and very much tailored to most Badfinger-ish tastes. It crosses into many styles of melodic music. It's a very matured work in the best vein, not saccharine or syrupy, but tasteful with brilliant musicianship." -Dan Matovina of the Badfinger Library☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☊☠Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜ Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜Šâ˜ Šâ˜Š"A brilliant vocalist, and a gifted musician and multi-instrumentalist Lock My Feelings In A Jar is unapologetically anchored in the musical terrain of the 60s–the ballads, the up-tempo pop, an Irish-folk sing-along all offer the sort of contemporary-retro comfort food that is subconsciously familiar notwithstanding each song's obvious originality. Modest and without pretension the songs shine with optimism and heartfelt sentiment. Whether singing about the mundane or the mystical you can hear nods to Ross’ musical influences–a piano intro a la Elton John’s Captain Fantastic period, a duet accompaniment that channels Peter Gabriel’s “Don’t Give Up” (sung with Kate Bush), and of course the ever-present inspiration of the Beatles–a hint of Revolver is always appreciated in my book. Ross is an avid student of the Fab Four and like me you will nod with appreciation at his carefully crafted and concise tunes, luminously orchestrated harmonies and his pitch-perfect lead vocals that somehow arrive at the sonic intersection of  Lennon and McCartney." - Neil Gader of his AV Guide Blog
