About Me

The Road Hammers are a Southren Rock/Country band playing tribute to those of us making a living out there on the highway. The band was founded by Canadian Country Music Sensation Jason McCoy joined by the Smooth Talkin Chris Byrne and the Rough n Ready Rocker Clayton Bellamy!Jason McCoy had said the idea for the name of The Road Hammers came from a trip to the Barbados while him and some friends were out cruising the city on scooters and they all joked calling themselfs "The Road Hammers" but the idea its self stemed from Jason's long time love of old truckin classics and passion for creating a new and exciting group. Once he had the name the ball started to roll.Jason spent the better part of the year pounding the pavement looking for the perfect band mates trying to cut demos, get a record deal, record an album and get their first single out on radio. CMT Canada followed Jason McCoy while he was embarking on this journey in a 6 part mini series. Jason and the rest of the gang never imagined "The Road Hammers" would take off the way it has with their first radio smash "Im A Road Hammer" going to number 1 and their self titled album going Gold, clearly the trio are loving the lime light and frankly, it looks good on them. The newest Road Hammers single "Girl On The Billboard has hit the radio airways! Lets do our part and let our radio stations, and CMT know how much we love this song and get it to #1.

ITS OFFICAL THE ROAD HAMMERS WILL BE THE OPENING ACT AT THE 2006 COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS SHOW IN ST.JOHNS NEW BRUNSWICK SEPT 11!!!! WAY TO GO BOYS *****************************************************..PUTTI NG THE HAMMER DOWN, CONCERT REVIEWS AND COMMENTS ABOUT THE BAND FROM THEIR LOYAL HAMMER HEADS
This comment came from Jarrod who is also a member in the Desert Heat band!Playing with The Road Hammers:
First off, I'd like to say that we (Desert Heat) are in fact, fans of The Road Hammers. Having the opportunity to open a few shows for the band was a great experience... the band consists of a great bunch of guys, and amazing musicians.
Jason, Clayton, Chris, Corbett, Ken, and Mike all were extremely friendly, and made us feel welcome. We had some great talks with Mike Little (Keys.... he was SO friendly with us), and Ken Greer (Steel). The biggest surprise was in finding out just how funny Clayton Bellamy is. He had us all laughing..... We were all fans of Jason's solo stuff, and we've been lucky enough to meet him a number of times, and he's always been very nice!
We were very lucky to play with The Road Hammers, and we wish them all the success in this business.
~*DESERT HEAT*~ ***************************************************** ~COMMENT COURTESY OF AIRDRIE CHICK~ Clayton is an amazing performer!! I have had the privilege of seeing him both with the Road Hammers and on his own!! And all I can say is WOW!! With the Road Hammers, Clayton has got to be one of the crazy ones!! He defiantly does his own thing!! And on his own.. (even though only seeing him acoustically and acoustic acoustically) he has an amazing voice and such a personality Clayton was just so interactive with the crowd.. And that is one thing that is totally important when you go to see a performer! ************************************************ ~COMMENT COURTESY OF *JULIE*~ We met the guys at the mid america truck show in march 06. They were so sweet! They autographed 27 posters for our trucker buddy class. My hubby and I listen to their cd at least once a day. Its good jam for rollin down the highway. Thanks for supporting truck drivers. keep on truckin. *************************************************** ~COMMENT COURTESY OF DALGAL~ I have met the road hammers several times and everytime I see them live their act just keeps getting better and better. They really love their fans and love entertaining for us and it shows their fans really love them back! Clayton, Chris, Jason and Corbett have wicked personalities and its always a pleasure to talk to them! Im glad to be a part of the EHH (Edmonton Hammer Heads)and what makes it so wonderful is the boys have really started to recognize our love and support and are always happy to see us in the crowed and cant wait to see what we have waiting for them at the end of the show! **************************************************** ~COMMENT COURTESY OF PIRATE OF THE BUFFALO~ The Hammers are kickin' butt and takin' names. It's great to see how fast they're rising. We saw them in Winchester, TN a couple of months ago and now everywhere I turn, there they are! Keep on truckin', guys--the road's wide open and the sky is the limit!! **************************************************** ~COMMENT COURTESY OF TYLENE I seen The Road Hammers the other night. They can put on an awesume show. They were on for a hour and a half.I think they would have been on longer but the stupid parade had to be on time, But when they were on they rocked. Clayton was jumping up on the drums. Jason was setting on Clayton shoulders.I thought that was cool. At one point all of them were singing then Jason and Chris stoped and Clayton keept singing, Clayton didnt know what was wrong, clayton was doing hand movements and Jason was like thats not rock and roll then Clayton said that he picked it up from watching Canadian Idol the night before. They did all there hits like Girl On The Billboard,East Bound and Down and Nashville Bound etc and of course, I'm A Road Hammer. Jason was talking, going into Call It A Day about changing dipers and cutting the lawn. and needing to get back onto the road. Jason looked like a proud daddy. For the encore Chris came out with a smoke and Clayton with his shirt off, he is hot. Jason really rocked some more and HOT like always. After the show I went to get the autographs. When I got up there Jason remember me.I was so trilled. Jason couldnt remember how to spell my name, He always bad with my name. I forgot to ask him about Gracie, I was so mad, But I was giving him a hard time about the spelling of my name. Clayton liked my TRH shirt that I had on..I shock Clayton's hand. Jason and Clayton where bugging me about taking picture of them. The boys were like please keep coming to the shows. I was like I will. They are the nicest guys ever! ********************************************************Voti ng Closes Sept 10th GET THEM VOTES IN NOW HAMMER HEADS
