They are the Misen Lync of hip-hop today.Maal Himself (Jamaal Napoleon), T.K.S. (Kevin Vann), and Toine Jay (Antoine Joyner) have banned together to form one of the hottest young groups in the game. Toine Jay and T.K.S. along with friend Ray Nitti began rapping together while still in high school. Once they entered college, T.K.S., Maal Himself, and Ray Nitti formed a group called the Missionary Family – which fortunately for the rap game – split up. In the fall of 2004, T.K.S. introduced Maal Himself to his former “rap buddy†from high school, Toine Jay. It was then that they decided their love for music was so intense that they had to come together and show the world what they were missing lyrically – them!!!!!In so doing, Misen Lync was born! Their style ranges from smooth and mellow for the ladies to a raw and allegorical magic unheard of in the industry! Toine Jay brings you back to the basics of hip-hop by focusing on the music and culture as a whole rather than commenting on the flashy lifestyle that some artists feel they have to portray. His style depicts an understated sense of being classy and at the same time eerily poetic. TKS brings a razor-edged tongue to the table with a figurative picture of what he’s presenting through his commentary. His verbal assault leaves your ears craving for more.Maal Himself uses terminology so mind-boggling that it should be a crime.
