I like the sound of steel drums, It brings me back to a time I can't recall. One day, given the time and the money I would love to start up a one woman band (me) and I would incorporate not only the steel drums, but the banjo that would play in unison with the acoustic guitar. Maybe I would toss a harmonica in there somewhere. And I would cover all my favorite songs from completely different genres with those four instruments (once I learn how to sing and play them). It would be messy and unstructured and terrible and no one would appreciate the significance or the beauty in my masterpieces except me. But that's completely okay, Its my fucking dream after all. I like leafy green things and the philosophies learned from sex and the city. I love wisdom teeth but I hate having them extracted from my face. I am always fighting for a lost cause. I am the eternal optimist who always beleives in love. Certain words I hear register in my brain and trigger flashbacks that make me cringe. Words like "Heartbreak" or "Vanilla Stoli". I take for granted the time I spend with myself. The object of my desire is real love; ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't live without each other love. Im a silly girl and a tad 'uncouth'. I go a little bit against the grain but not enough to cause any sort of real fuss (The attention whore label doesn't quite fit as I suspected). There will be no books written about me, No statues of me in some town square and there wont be a high school named after me either. I am not destined for greatness. Very early on I came to terms with the fact that I would never be a movie star and I would'nt cure cancer. I didn't need to go find myself to cope with the bad news, most people require that sort of gratification to remedy their sorrows..... Each to their own, I suppose (who told you to look for you anyways?). I have always known who I am. I always knew that the simple life is just as fabulous as the extravagant one. Im just one of the lucky ones I guess. But anyways, I just felt like writing. Evidently you just felt like reading. Why don't we both go do something productive with our time on earth, shall we?
