You can say that my life is balanced. I experience extremes -- extreme luck and its opposite. This year was not so good for my career (as a student.) Let's leave it at that. Let the gruesome details remain as a lesson... as a challenge... as a way to balance me. As for the extreme luck. I have visited a lot of places this year. a lot is actually relative - some may think of it as many, some may see it only as a few. Although my career at 26 is nowhere in sight... I have experienced a lot of things through this year's travels. I have walked Singapore's Clarke Quay, tasted Oyster Omelette at Newton Circle's Hawker's Market. I have seen Johor Bahru and experienced taking a cab all the way to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have been blessed by the Pope in his usual noontime Sunday Mass in Vatican, strolled and shopped through Via Condotti, made 3 wishes at the Trevi Fountain. I have visited the medieval town of Assisi. I have seen Venice sink at night and rise in the morning. I have seen the real Mona Lisa in Louvre, tasted french Macaroons in a deli along Champs-Elysees. I have experienced partying in the streets of Madrid till wee hours on the morning. I have seen the hills of Andalusia. I have tasted the best brownies along Portobello Road in London (on a Saturday -- Antique Buyer's Day!) I have tried whiskey on a cold day in Edinburgh (man that was good!) I can truly swear that the best hotdogs I have tasted, is being sold by this Mexican lady on a sidestreet along the fashion district in Los Angeles. I have experienced shopping for only 90% of the price of the goods in Shen Zhen, best foot massage for me so far in Foshan in the Province of GuangDong (China.) These are just some of the experiences that makes me who I am today... a traveler...
