MKS (Majestic Knights of the Streets) is the final result of three now-defunct hip-hop groups, respectively "Lyrical 7", "Genuine Emcees" and "The 5 Flawless". And this is how it all came together:
$tr8 "Outta Control" and Mortal got into hip-hop by the likes of Will Smith and the Norwegian rap-group Warlocks early on, but the notion of doing more than replicating their favorite acts was not considered until at a later stage. Years went by and the urge for creating music themselves got stronger, so they inquired common friend/rapper P-Q, if he would be interested in joining them on the venture, and he happily accepted the offer; "Genuine Emcees" was born.
The collaboration between the three went on for some time, until one day, at their first performance, after observing the artists before them; known as "Arlo", they came to a decision of adding the two MC's to their roster. When confronted about the idea, "Nocturne" and "A-Reid" immediately gave them a "Hell Yeah!"; and "Genuine Emcees" changed its name to "The 5 Flawless".
Krohnik started his run with the local short-lived crew "Lyrical 7" for a short period of time. He was already a friend of Mortal, and when the request came for a guest appearance, Krohnik was more than willing to lend his voice to the mix. After wrapping up the EP, entitled "Rough Draft EP", The 5 Flawless encountered complications, and P-Q (now known as Per-Fekt) left the group. The 5 Flawless modified their stage name once again, and were now known simply as "Flawless".
Shortly thereafter, they found a natural replacement, and Krohnik entered the group as the fifth "Flawless". But the re-established unit didn't get much work done before they too came to a crossroad, and Arlo (consisting of Nocturne and A-Reid) parted ways with the remaining trio, now known as MKS (Majestic Knights of the Streets).
MKS has held their own ever since, for approximately 4 years now. They've recorded a demo entitled "Flawless EP", and is now working on a mixtape to create a buzz around their forthcoming album. Mortal, Krohnik and $tr8 "Outta Control" was, is and continues to be a force to be reckoned with...
