Cool Slideshows Well this graphic right here is my full name in Arabic, my first name is Martin, and it was done by a dear friend of mine from LA. ("A" wherever you are, know I miss you and wish that we could change the past, but that would have changed the future...so...) I have no clue what to tell and what not to tell, so I guess I'll just toss a few random facts out there. I am Dakota (Crow Creek "Hunkpati") and Lakota (Standing Rock "Hunkpapa") Sioux. I also have a wee bit of Irish, French and German blood coursing through my veins. Some have asked why I live in South Dakota, when I am a gay man and have this ability to create. I feel like I have every right to be here, maybe even more than some. We shouldn't limit ourselves and live by stereotypes of what is accepted by the rules set up, either imagined or real, by anyone. This doesn't mean I don't feel like gettin the hell out of "Dodge" sometimes...but yes, this is my home. I am also an artist...I do work based on my heritage and sell to galleries throughout the area as well as a few in LA and NM. I also do alot of fantasy artwork. Some of the artists that have influenced me are Olivia, Royo and I guess to some degree, Tom of Finland and Rip Colt. I have been drawing the human form ever since I was a child. Mainly the female form...I am slowly branching into the male form and have some "stylized' pieces I've scanned and reworked in PhotoShop. As of late, I've been gathering images I have collected throughout the years and getting them scanned and resized and recoloured as well, I also love to manipulate an image and make it more, make it mine and then send it out there.I also have an obsession some would call it with Vampires, Vampire mythology, written and film. I guess this fascination comes from the idea of immortality and what one could do with so much time. What we would be able to see, as we watch history pass. Cities rise and fall, cultures advance...and above all, what we could do to help the ones we loved who have passed. I have a variety of interests, ranging from mainstream to subversive (Hope I used that word in the right context). This is Sebastian, my pup or sidekick so to speak. He came to me about 3 years ago. My sister gifted him to me and I have kept him near ever since.
