Essence Dance Company - Founded in November, 2005 by Gigi Torres after a troubling period in her life. These moments bonded her closer to good friends and good times. They decided to go forth with the group (GO FORF WID IT), and share a piece of themselves and their lives with others--telling their stories through the stage. Women of different backgrounds. Women of different personalities.
ALL have the same love and passion for living life to the absolute fullest. Essence--a group of women who each posess inward and outward qualities that regard them as powerful and strong. Individually, they can stand on their own. When brought together, they're whole and stand firm in the struggles they face on the daily--through laughs, love, and dance.We are who we are and give the world a different perspective on life.
