Darkest July is a one man army with the only band member MIDI in the front. Darkest july was born in 2004 as an pure instrumental gothproject.
In the spring of 2006 Darkest July began to record a few songs and added vocals for what would come to be a unreleased demo called Eux. Eux was the mark that would set the sound and style of the music that would come. The music of Eux was a mix of darkwave, goth, goth rock with an eerie touch . Although the demo never was released it took the project further and a sound and style was established.
In 2007 Darkest July began the recording of 5 new song for the minialbum Coeur. September 15 was the date that Coeur was released, this was the album that took Darkest Julys music to a new level, Coeur purpose was to bring back the melody and the fun to the gothic rock scene.
Darkest July is currently working on a new album called Dark Desires due to be released in 2008 , Lips of blood will be the first single and a taste of what the future hold in it..s hand.
Darkest Julys music can be desicribed as a clash between the old 69 eyes and japans finest and now seperated Vevet Eden. Although that a broad list of influences are mixed in the music, Darkest July has its own special sound and style and does not and do not intend to compromise that with anyone and/or anything^^
