I am here for Friends

About Me

I've mostly got it easy in life and I try to enjoy the time that I have. I like relaxing with good friends, reading, kayaking, and sleeping and dreaming - but the sleep is not required for the dreaming, that I do always. Myspace Backgrounds

My Interests

I love to spend time with those I love - go figure. It doesn't matter all that much what we do, sitting in silence among those people can be reassuring. What else is required but good company? Failing good company... Or sometimes including it, I enjoy kayaking and reading; Mostly fantasy-type novels. The allure of magic in the mundane. Oh, and of course just being out in nature and beauty... But thats part of why I like kayaking. The beauty, the nature, wildlife, and the water. I'm also becoming more and more involved in the SCA which is fun and appeals both to venting needs, love of physical activity, and of fantasy.

I'd like to meet:

More people who challenge me to open up and explore new thoughts and ideas. I've been changing quite a bit recently, and its scary, but its development and its fun too. I'd also like to have a meeting with myself at different age ranges, to discuss morals, interests, and philosophy.

Music:

I like all sorts of music. I'm big into some musicals and "oldies" (50-70's)... Although I also like lots of 80's and 90's music too.. and jazz is fun from the 20's.. What came from the 30's and 40's? I bet I like it too. The main thing is good rhythm to get the blood flowing and body moving, and/or something thats fun to sing along to. I love singing.

Movies:

Wow, I don't know. I like all kinds of movies. My preferred genres and drama, comedy, and action... but like comic book type action not blow stuff up and chase scene type action (Lethal Weapon, Bond, etc. Although yes I do like Bond.)... Not that thats bad its just not what I tend to pick off the shelf when I have heard no reviews of the movie quality.

Television:

I hardly watch TV anymore because we don't have cable and it hardly seems worth it. I've lost my addiction.

Books:

Fantasy novels. A Man of His Word, Chronicles of Narnia, Wild Magic, Harry Potter, the Vampire Chronicles - know any good series' feel free to introduce me to it. See blog entitled "Books"

Heroes:

My friends and family. They're all great people from what I can tell and are a tower of strength in times of need. I am exceedingly lucky to be surrounded by such people, and to have had them around my entire life thus far.
