Taken From -Scape-: Eve of Destiny was officially born in 1998 with the release of Desperado in Cleopatra's -The Black Bible- VA as the solo project of Haruhiko Ash, ex vocalist and front-man of The Zolge. The first EOD live was in 1999 at the 8th Wave Gotik Treffen in Germany but was followed by a long period of inactivity until 2002 when Közi of the 'on hiatus' Malice Mizer was recruited as guitarist.
Haruhiko Ash[vocals, programming]
Közi[guitar, programming]With an astonishing performance at the 11th Wave Gotik Treffen the new Eve of Destiny caught the European audience by surprise and especially Malice Mizer fans who had heard very little of Közi's whereabouts since the December of 2001. Those fortunate enough to have learned of this new collaboration in time rushed to Germany to witness the first ever Közi appearance outside Japan but, as they were soon to find out, far from the last.Since 2002 EOD have repeatedly toured Europe and Oceania and came to eventually also hold 2 lives in Japan, becoming widely known to the gothic scene who still have mixed feelings about them due to the nature of their ever growing and devoted, but nevertheless for the greater part Visual Kei oriented, fandom. They have however struggled to be acknowledged as a gothic and not a Visual Kei band from the very beginning and after 2 years they are now closer to achieving this.Their sound is at times of the older goth school with punk influences apparent, at times leans more towards 90's electro-goth with the vocals setting it apart but for the greater part is closer to goth-industrial with Közi's guitar screaming amid. It is however a fresh sound and guitar and vocals mix extremely well.
With songs so far only released in gothic compilations around Europe, their first Mini-CD is in the making to be released by Celtic Circle Productions of Germany and their first album is promised to follow soon after.
