Band Members: I really am the best sax player in the world. I'm just lazy. Will send through demos on request, eventually. I must put some intellectually 'difficult jazz' stuff up on here soon...then again I might just do Pink Panther, Baker Street and that stripping song - that's all you lot ever wanna hear after all. I do weddings and such like (solo sax player as you sign the register or as your guests walk into the reception....very cool). Always willing to gig / session nationwide or practice with local bands / musicians. I also play anything else that you'd care to blow down, guitars, bass & piano. And I can make a reeeeally loud noise when I put a blade of grass between my thumbs.
Influences: beatles (mccartney of course), jeff lynne, pearl jam, nirvana, pink floyd, the streets, bob marley, metallica, air, ian dury, charlie parker, stan getz, foo fighters, green day, and sorry...but if I'm honest bon jovi have to be here as well (in my defense, richie and tico were always my faves, not jon)....right now....the killers, duke special, paulo nuttini, snow patrol, a trombone player from the bbc young musician awards and mc hammer.
Sounds Like: In true Pop Idol style...my 'Best Bits' include playing at the opening of the Eurotunnel (god I'm old), a few other large gigs & recording sessions, a moment in Canterbury when i stood alongside the inspirational Herbie Flowers and played the best sax of my life, and when i was 14 & got into oliver! at The Stag in Sevenoaks. I'm an ex-BRITS kid (BRITS Performing Arts College, Croydon). Not that you'd know it, I was there before Imogean Heap....Katie Melua....Amy Winehouse...The Kooks.....Leona Lewis.....even Dane f**king Bowers...none of 'em gave me a call when they needed a sax player. Did they not hear? I'm best sax player in the world. Actually, no-one would've heard seeing as I locked myself in a soundproof practice room and didn't come out for 2 years. Ah well, B2B Sales it is then.
