I live and work mainly in China. I write music (mostly hip hop; but also funk, soul and rock) and perform for a living.
For composition I use: a yamaha bass (a piece of crap really), fender telecaster, akai mpc 1000, various analogue keyboards, reason 3.0, Cubase, and Motu Ultralite.
I'm composing a piece for a Thai film score, and collaborating with some DJs in Canton, rappers in Shanghai (Bamboo Crew) and irate bipolar MCs in Japan (kensho kuma). The main crew I write for is Hunters and Gatherers, but I want to find a good soulful female voice for some downtempo / rnb (think al green instrumentals).
