Serious Potential

Well im not in a band but im the owner of XIIITH Sounds, an upcoming record label soon to have CDs in your CD players. Well i started rapping when i was 10, but these were simple verses, co-written by my brother "Technical T.I.G". It wasn't until i went on a 1 day music production course in year 8 that i began thinking that i could write too. So in august 2004 i made my very first song, Serious Potential. At first i made the song simply as boredom release but my brother saw the spark of talent within me, contantly asking me if i did a new track. So i made about four tracks before i developed a knack for it, now under the name "Serious Potential", named after my aforementioned first single. A myriad of events flew in the following months, me feeling as though i was two steps from glory when i was 2 million, the discovery that i was a rapper, not a singer, my discovery that i was not a "mack daddy" as it were (yet ;D) and me thinking that exams could be postponed by writing plenty of lyrics. In Feburary 2005 my Father died and i was deeply distressed yet found release in music, which in turn lead me to finish my first little album, Development, on the 24th of feburary 2005. I later started designing the XIIITH Sounds emblem and established it as a record label on April 2nd 2005 , signing Ice-Mage, Ormanik, Rizzla, Konvict-kid and Kurlz as founding members. I was originally going to name it Serious Productions, but nah, too cliché. Later we lost Kurlz, Rizzla and Konvict-kid as members, but we are still in close contact for tracks. My next little album was made primarily of dubs and two self produced tracks, and was finished October 21st 2005. It was at this point that i felt i may be ready to make my impression on the world, so i began recording my debut album/mixCD, Scarred wit ink (now titled "The Life and Memories of a Predicate Maverick"). Its original release date was set around august, but due to gained intelligence and discovered flaws it has been delayed indefinately. However, i now see this as a good thing because with time comes knowledge and i now have the knowledge to produce (well in my life anyway) a piece of recording history, without the average swag that many of today's album has. And thats basically my story really. I produce hip hop, rap and RnB beats, and am now trying to expand into classical and Soul.For contact email: [email protected]
