About Me
My name is Gianni Villanova, I'm a videomaker and for many years I've been involved in the rock scene on different levels. Since the early eighties I've been involved in record distribution and concerts / events organization, working along other structures such as Blue China records as well as by myself.My booking activity focused, mainly on hardcore and metal, promoting and giving the first chance to names and sounds that would later be chased by bigger agencies and promoters. From 1987 to 1996 I worked booking bands like Negazione, Incinerator and Jingo De Lunch and Beach Bum rock Festival (on the beach in Jesolo).Among the acts I developed a special relationship with, taking care of tours or single dates, I like to remember: Sick Of It All, Madball, Snapcase, Agnostic Front, Slapshot, Biohazard, Sheer Terror, Motorhead, Ministry, Mr. Bungle(Mike Patton), Shelter, 108, Cro-Mags,The Business,999, The Lurkers, Leeway, Into Another, DI, Unbroken, Battery, Black Train Jack, CPS, Beowulf, Ignite, Civ, Warzone, Strife, Asexuals, No For An Answer, Terence Trend D'Arby, Growing Moviment, Only Living Witness, Mad Parade, Special Duties, The Freeze, 25 Ta Life,Pittbull, Graveyard Rodeo, Lin,Charley's War, Upset Noise, Next Step Up, Hard Response-GBH, Right Direction, SFA, 7Seconds, Raw Power, Earth Crisis,H20,Agony In Cage(Enrico Silvestrin), etc...I also collaborated for some years with Match Music SAT-TV, for which I did a program called Rumore interviewing famous acts as well as emerging realities. For example: Marilyn Manson, Primus, Helloween, Biohazard, The Misfits, Dog Eat Dog, Machine Head, Pantera, Fantomas and many more. I also took care of the organization of events mixing alternative music with sports like skateboarding.I collaborated with different brands of street-wear like Broke, Vans, Dickies, Dragon, Nixon, DVS, Matix, Adio, promoting them endorsing bands and athletes, organizing events and creating promotional audio / video stuff (an activity I still pursue today).A few years ago I founded my own company REPO MAN PRODUCTIONS, which works in the video making field (mainly music but not only that), taking care of filming and editing. I produced several video clips for Italian bands like Derozer, Los Fastidios, Raw Power, Ojm, Love Forsaken,Remorse, Talco,Fuel From Hell,Bliss Infection,Bs'Titty,etc... as well as the A Year In Motion video for Broke.
